Southbourne War Memorials
Our War Memorials Commemorate 88 local men who died serving our country in two world wars. Our WW1 Memorial, a simple concrete cross, was given by an unknown donor and erected in St Johns garden in 1921.
It is intended to have an engraved tablet for each individual in a placed area in the garden of St. John's.
A single 210mm square engraved tablet costs £27. We hope local groups, businesses and individuals will fund a stone to make this a community memorial.
Any surplus funds will go to St. Johns, to help make the area accessible and to the British Legion Poppy fund.
